One of a kind handmade chef's knife.
This 7″ knife is made with Takefu VG10 Suminagashi and a beautiful Natural Desert Ironwood handle. 3mm thick at the heel, 2.24 mm half way down and 1.24mm just before the K tip
Steel: VG10 Suminagashi. A core of VG10 clad with 33 layers of stainless steel each side
I forged the steel to the shape of the finished knife, this gives a beautifull wavy pattern. The convex grind enhances food release and cutting performance. The steel is finished dark, bright and dark.
This handmade chef’s knife is a compact, hard-working all-rounder, built for everyday use. The blade measures just under 7 inches, offering close control and an easy, natural feel on the board. The traditional hidden-tang handle creates a slim, comfortable pinch grip while maintaining exceptional strength. Light and well balanced. It is really very good at chopping mid size veg and smaller items like herbs.
The steel is stainless but will still be reactive to acids and exposure to water so,
please follow the maintenance instructions
