This 185mm Bunka is handcrafted with an 80CrV2 core steel, beautifully clad in Damascus steel for exceptional cutting performance and striking visual appeal. The handle is crafted from stunning Walnut burl, giving each knife its own unique character and grain pattern.
Lightweight, agile, and exceptionally comfortable in hand, this Bunka is designed as a versatile all-purpose kitchen knife. Its distinctive K-tip profile offers excellent precision for detailed work, while the generous blade height and convex geometry make it ideal for vegetable preparation, slicing proteins, and everyday chopping tasks. Combining nimble handling with outstanding edge performance, this Bunka is equally at home tackling fine cuts or serving as the primary workhorse in the kitchen.
Steel: 3 mm Hand-forged San-Mai/ Go-mai, 60 layers of 80crv2 and 15n20 over an 80crv2 core with nickel. I have given it a very light patina, do keep dry and please follow the maintenance instructions until your own patina appears after daily use.
Handle: Japanese style construction. Stabilised Walnut burl and Richlite Black Diamond
