One of a kind handmade chef's knife.
This 8″ knife is made with Takefu super blue stainless clad San Mai and a stunning piece of English Oak Burr for the handle.
Steel & Grind:
I forged this 3.5 mm Takefu Super Blue stainless-clad San Mai with a hand-textured finish. The convex grind transitions into an S-grind, giving the blade a lively feel with excellent food release. The subtle hollow reduces drag and helps food fall away cleanly, while the convex shoulder keeps the knife stiff and strong through heavier cuts.
Both steels have been given a forced patina to start the aging process, which will continue to develop uniquely as you use the knife.
This is a large yet agile chef’s knife, equally at home with delicate, precise tasks and heavy-duty chopping sessions.
